About your writing tutor

Hi, I’m Sara Bodinar. I’ve been writing, editing and giving writing workshops for 10+ years. I’ve worked with huge numbers of film studios, production companies, theatres, novel writers, screenwriters and academics to get novels and scripts over the line. Here’s my main writing website. But essentially:

  • I’m a multi award-winning staff writer for a number film studios
  • I lead the Writers Room at Nottingham Playhouse Theatre
  • An Honorary Fellow at Nottingham University (School of English and Drama)
  • I’m the writer-in-residence for Writersi Retreat UK and the Nottingham Actors Workshop
  • I’ve had 30+ films and 20+ plays produced

My weekly online writing workshops – £10 per session.

Each workshop is a 40 minute stand-alone masterclass on different aspects of creative writing. It’ll involve a combination of a short informative lecture and writing exercises, with a view to lifting a veil on common writing problems and helping you build your stories in a more compelling way in the future.

Come and join our friendly, welcoming online writing community, who have fun learning new writing tips and tricks each week to help them up their writing game. 

  • Weekly sessions that are 40 minutes long via Zoom.
